I AM GOING TO THE PHILIPPINES NO MATTER WHAT!!!

PACKING & GETTING READY TO LEAVE THE MTC:
Ok so my water bottle randomly leaked all over my things I need a new small paper Book of Mormon like tiny to bring on plane I tried to blow dry it and while I was doing that there was a random power outage. So I just had to throw it away and I headed downstairs and fell down the stairs. Then I went to check my camera battery and it melted and my watch is broke I bought a new battery for it but it still doesn’t work everything is going wrong my battery and my water bottle GRrrrrrr.  Satan wants me to feel uncomfortable but I am still leaving and teaching those people in the PHILIPPINES!!!!
I also just got done with my wash. We are running round campus with our heads cut off hahahah trying to get everything done. It is crazy! I am super excited we had in field orientation all day Friday it was fun because the guy that hosted it served in the Philippians. In field is just general meeting it isn't specific for any one country but it kind of was for us because all the stories he told were from there. They had plays for us to watch about planning with the members and the ward counsel. It was fun. I am so excited to go. Sorry mom that I made you shop everywhere hahah but that won’t happen anytime soon hopefully. We said good bye to brother Lacententa last night it was funny and sad I have some pictures of it and Will send you some. The next email will be from a computer shop some place in the Philippians (they don't have computers there) but they do have internet cafes. So ya just trying to get things done. I love you all and I am so excited that you are all having fun I got my hair cut!! Too!
Mahal kita Katrina Perkins
I have packed my bags and they are both 43 lb. I think I have everything. I think I am good.
I am a little sick right now like how that happens at the end or beginning of everything in my life but It's not too bad I have been eating fruit and praying and taking those vitamin C cough drop things. Anyways sounds like fun what you are doing with the fam.  If Trudy doesn't find me I bought a calling card for emergency. And if I never use it I'll leave it next to a pay phone in Manila when I leave the Philippines and hopefully a little Pilipino will find it and be blessed.
I was a host for the new people coming in Wednesday - it was awesome.

This kid can play!!! He is one of our newer district. I played Zeldas luluby after him. It was fun.

Ready to Go to the Philippines!

I am so excited to leave. If this place didn't have such a spiritual high I think we would all snap because all we do is study in one room all day. But ya the people around me make it the best. Just super excited. So Ainsely emailed me it was fun to hear about what is going on in her life. We have learned all the lessons in our book, and now we have subs because our Guro Poole (teacher) is getting married, I just study on my own when they teach because it is just review that they are going over. Our other Guro Lacententa is running a marathon so we had 2 subs yesterday. But it's ok because we get Lacententa back on Monday and we get Poole back when we leave the following Monday.
Everything is good, just ready to move on with life. I have learned so much and I am not scared because I know for a fact that the Lord has my back as long as I keep doing what is right and keep it humble. I love you all and thanks for getting me clothes. Our Guro Lacentena told us that we can't give anyone money or anything physical like that but all they need is the Gospel it will all turn out fine for them and it is the greatest gift we can give them because in heaven they have mansions.
Well I have a lot to do today because we are leaving next week.

Three Weeks in the MTC

I get my flight plans next Friday and if nothing goes wrong we will fly out some time July 29th or 30th. I got your card reader. Thank you. I will put up pictures sometime today.  I can't google and right now I can't see what is going on in the blog now but once i get into the field I will. Man, this place is strict. I mean we stay in one room all day long studying. I don't mind studying the scriptures but sitting in one room all day. And we found out we can't sit on the floor. I know it is a dedicated building but my butt hurts and I just want to spread my books out, instead of having them fall off my lap. I told Sister Bates that if there wasn't such a spiritual high here i think we would all snap. I am ready to just go. I'll miss the people here but I am ready for another adventure. I am not worried about anything really I know the lord will take care of me. I have been working harder than I usually do on anything, and I have learned a whole bunch.

Last Time Teaching Lenard

So the first lesson was bad we didn’t think of Lenard, second awesome, third ok. OK because I need to prepare more so I can explain things, not just focus on the language and myself but get better to Tagalog for Lenard. For him I am studying this language - for the people.
Every Tuesday we have a devotional. This devotional was the woman that made the hymn Sisters in Zion and some of the primary songs. Her husband is hilarious. She was explaining the first time she met him and he said “these lips are good at the clarinet, you know what else they are good for?” right then her husband jumped up and totally kissed his wife. We all busted up laughing. It was even funnier because just before the MTC president told us that we should be quiet. After that she said “I know that man like a book, I just don’t know what page he is on.” The rest of the devotional was singing her favorite songs.
Wednesday the new kids come all the orange dots walking around and all of the scared faces (new people get orange dots on their tag). It’s weird to think that we are no longer the new kids.
We taught Lenard for the last time today. We taught him the very summarized version of the plan of salvation and committed him to baptism he freaked out because he thought TODAY! We told him a random date one we knew the numbers to. The lesson was really good but we had to rush it. Now Lenard is Brother Andrew and will be teaching us. He was just pretending to be someone from the Philippians that he taught when he was there.
We get gym time most days and we always play volley ball it is so much fun. It is great to actually stand for an hour hahaha. The MTC is a lot of sitting. On Wednesday we get $8.00 to spend in the bookstore I want to buy a Philippines mission shirt.
I forgot to tell you that on Tuesday I got to take a nap for the first time in forever. Before the devotional we have personal time and I was up that night socializing with the Tongan sisters. It was Glorious!!!!
Devotional days are chill because we don’t have class for as long. So are Sundays.
So one of the sisters in our room is way by the rules. It’s kind of annoying but me and my kasama found it is easier to just sit in the hall way and write instead of get “reminded” that flash lights doesn’t mean light off. We aren’t up late but we do need time to get our thoughts out on paper.
Some nights we see sisters packing to leave. I will miss them. Love you all every one write me on dear elder.

Birthday in the MTC

Birthday Awesome love the people around here, Immunization yes, Food better than Hawaii and it depends on the day. 4th surprise got to go to the edge of campus and saw them over the stadium. prez of MTC kept us in the dark, also saw 17 miracles again.
Three weeks left yay! I really need to be a nomad, staying in one place gets old. I got a Philippine shirt for my birthday. And I have so much treats that we don't know what to do with. We have been teaching the new kids words they won't use teaching someone pero it's fun.
Speaking grammar is killing but pero i get it. I think in English and throw in the Tagalog words but I need to switch up the sentence up.
I really feel the spirit when i am teaching. Except for the last time we taught. I cut my kasama off and she got confused and a little mad and I felt really bad. But we worked it out. I repented and she repented.  And now we are good.
I am not worried about the language anymore like I can't speak the grammar but I understand it. I just have to stop thinking in English and throwing Tagalog words in it. And I know the lord will help me with it.
